When working with an object that you constantly need to change, it's handy to have an Attributes Manager open specifically for that object as well as having another to work with the other objects.
Attributes Manager
Step 1: Select the object that you wish to keep in your Attributes Manager.
Step 2: In the top right corner of the Attributes Manager, you'll notice two little icons. The icon on the right allows you to open another Attributes Manager. You can create a maximum of 10 Attributes Managers. One extra should be enough for this excercise, but if you have more objects that you wish to keep open for editing you have that option.
Step 3: The icon on the left is a lock. When you lock an Attributes Manager, it holds whatever object is active at the time you lock it. When you create a new Attributes Manager with the upper right icon it is automatically locked to whatever was selected at the time.
And now one of your Attributes Manager should be locked on your desired object while your other is free to work with other objects.
