Bodypaint 3D:
Exporting UVs from BodyPaint into Photoshop.

Works with:
Bodypaint 3D
Requires:
Version 8

Sometimes when you are texturing your models, you may want to touch up your texture in Photoshop. This tutorial will show how to bring your UVs from Bodypaint into Photoshop

Step 1: Once you have the UVs for your mesh set up, switch to the Brush tool. You will use the brush to outline the UVs. Set the color for the brush and use a small size, such as 1, to outline the polygons.

Step 2: Using the UV Polygon Edit tool, select all your polygons (Select Polygon->Select All).

Step 3: Go to the Layer menu and choose Outline Polygons. Your UVs will be outlined based on the settings in the Brush tool. Now you can export this to Photoshop.

Note: For those using Bodypaint 1, go to the Function menu and then choose Outline Polygons.

Step 4: Go to File->Save Texture as. Save it as a PSD file so that it can be natively read by Photoshop with all of its layers intact.
